THE wait is almost over for thousands of desperate Jedward fans.
Last year, the Irish twins wowed their young audience at the Glasgow Show. Since their gig the city council has been swamped with fans' pleas for a return visit from the X Factor stars.
And on Sunday their prayers will be answered when John and Edward Grimes deliver their unique brand of pop at Glasgow Green.
A council spokesman said: "We have been deluged by emails and phone calls since last year's event asking if Jedward would be coming back.
"We pulled out all the stops to secure them again this year and everyone there on the day will, no doubt, be in for a treat when the twins hit the stage.
"We have sold out the allocation of online tickets for the Glasgow Show and look forward to welcoming even more families along over the weekend.
"As always, we have made sure tickets will be available to buy at the gate over both days to ensure no-one misses out on the fun.
"We were stunned when revellers as far afield as Norway, the Shetland Islands, London and Ireland also snapped up weekend tickets."
Jedward said: "We are so excited about coming back to Glasgow Green for this amazing concert. Last year thousands of people rocked out with us in the sunshine and this year we are gonna make it bigger and better. It's gonna be Jepic!"
The music zone at the Glasgow Show will also feature other household names such as Stavros Flatley, S Club, Evening Times' columnist Michelle McManus, the Mend and X Factor finalist Marcus Collins.
The show parade, led by Lord Provost Sadie Docherty, leaves George Square at 11.30am on Saturday. It will include vintage buses, dancers, horse and dray, pipe bands, clowns and street theatre.
As well as catching up with the performers at the music zone, there will be a host of other entertainment for all the family to enjoy.
The main arena features performances by artists including the Tournament of Jousting Horse Show, the Black Knights parachute display team and high wire artist Jean Monti.
The countryside zone offers cattle grooming, Clydesdale horses, birds of prey, the dog and duck display and mini Highland cattle, and in the circus zone you can join in workshops.
Free vintage buses will take show audiences from outside the City Chambers to Glasgow Green.
Entry costs £12 for a family of two adults and two children, £5 for adults, £3 for concession card holders and children and £2 for Kidz Card and Young Scots card holders.
