PAISLEY is to host a new music and arts festival this autumn as the town gears up to welcome the Royal National Mod next year.
The Spree Festival in October will feature a line-up of artists, including former Aztec Camera star Roddy Frame, the band Francois And The Atlas Mountains, Irish singer Damien Dempsey and comedian Craig Hill.
The event comes on the back of Paisley's successful bid to host the Royal National Mod in October 2013, the cultural highlight of the Gaelic speaking world's year.
The Spree will take place from October 25-28 and events will include Gaelic workshops and comedy.
The four venues to host events will be a specially erected Spiegeltent, at County Square; Paisley Abbey; the Wynd Centre; and Paisley Arts Centre.
