DETECTIVES are treating a blaze at a Glasgow high- rise as fire raising.
They are looking for two men seen in the area at the time the fire started and have asked them to come forward.
As reported in yesterday's Evening Times, terrified families were trapped in a tower block in Possilpark.
In the latest in a spate of fires in high-rises and tenements, residents on the 17th and 18th floors of a block on Wester Common Road were trapped by flames.
They had to be rescued from the 18-storey building at about 11.40pm on Tuesday.
Two people had to be treated in hospital for smoke inhalation.
The blaze started in the top floor stairwell and investigations into the cause of the fire are underway.
Yesterday we told how firebugs caused £2 million of damage after more than 1200 deliberate fires were started in the last month.
Investigations are continuing into fire raising incidents in Barrhead, Toryglen, Knightswood, Cathcart and Pollokshields.
Anyone with any information about the Possilpark blaze is asked to contact Maryhill CID on 0141 532 3700.
