Paisley's Lagoon Leisure Centre pool will reopen in time for the school summer break following a £300,000 revamp.
Renfrewshire Leisure, which runs the Lagoon Leisure Centre, Paisley, has promised the pool will be ready by the start of July.
A spokesman added: "There has already been a very positive reaction to the modernised indoor sports hall and gym, which opened earlier this year.
"We are sure there will be an equally positive reaction once the pool is back in action."
A contractor has been brought in to refurbish the pool's filtration system at a cost of £290,000.
Hillington-based firm Barr+Wray will also carry out work on the pool's famous wave machine to make sure it is ready for action.
Opened in 1987, the popular leisure centre is undergoing a major overhaul by the main contractor, BAM Construction.
Lorne Kennedy, from Barr+Wray, said: "We played a significant role in the creation of the Lagoon pool when it was constructed.
"However, pool technology has taken great strides in the 25 years since and we are pleased to help bring it up to date."
The company also recently started work installing filtration systems for the new pools at the £24m Linwood Community Sports Hub.
