A TRIBUTE concert to Paisley-born music legend Gerry Rafferty, who died earlier this year, has sold out within days.

Rafferty's daughter Martha, helped by long-term friend Rab Noakes, organised a line-up of top musicians to celebrate her father's life.

Demand for tickets for the concert, part of Celtic Connections, was "outstanding" and as a result a second night of the Bring It All Home – Gerry Rafferty Remembered concert has been scheduled for Monday January 23 in Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.

Stars due to take the stage include Bishopbriggs born Jack Bruce, who was bass player with Britain's first supergroup Cream, The Proclaimers, Barbara Dickson and American Maria Muldaur who sang the 1970s hit Midnight at the Oasis.

A Celtic Connections spokesman said: "The night promises exciting performances from a number of the Paisley-born singer-songwriter's friends, family, band mates, collaborators and admirers."
