Patients in a specialist cancer hospice in Glasgow got a surprise visit from some very familiar faces.
River City stars Carmen Pieraccini, who plays Kelly-Marie, Sally Howitt, who plays Scarlett Mullen, and Stephen 'Shellsuit Bob' Purdon toured the Marie Curie hospice, in Balornock, meeting patients.
The actors then moved outside to join members of staff and patients to take part in a variety of fun activities.
Community fundraising manager Karen Milne said: "Many of our patients are big fans of River City so it was a nice surprise for them to see the cast in person instead of just on the TV screen."
After meeting patients, Sally said: "One patient told me this place was like a home away from home.
"He has everything he needs here."
Stephen was equally impressed, and he said: "The ward is unique.
"The patients are really comfortable and they are all up for a bit of banter."
The cast of the BBC Scotland soap series were supporting the Great Daffodil Appeal.
This is a fundraising event run by the charity throughout March to support its care facilities nationwide.
