THE top three finalists of Glasgow's Star Turn 2012 will make their debut tonight as part of the city's London 2012 experience.

Elissa Crorken, Gaby Humphries and Brian McCafferty will take to the 2012 Experience Stage in Brunswick Street, in the Merchant City, at 7pm.

After impressing our celebrity judges at Monday's Grand Final at the Old Fruitmarket, the trio will each perform the songs that made them into Glasgow's Star Turns.

Elissa, 19, from Sandyhills, wowed the crowds with her rendition of Etta James classic At Last.

She bagged the £1000 top prize and the chance to perform at events across Glasgow, including next year's Variety Show.

Gaby, 13, from Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire, earned second place with her version of Adele's song One And Only, while singer/guitarist Brian, 22, from Glasgow's South side, played his own song Could Have Loved You.

The Experience Stage has been showcasing Glasgow musicians to celebrate the Olympic Football Tournament at Hampden.

Each match day there has been acts on within the Merchant City on the Experience Stage and on the routes to Hampden as part of this strand of the Merchant City Festival.

Our Star Turns will close the second to last day of the 2012 Experience and it is free to watch.

Tony Carlin, editor of the Evening Times, said: "We hope this will be just the start for all of them in what will be long and successful showbiz careers."

Glasgow Unesco City of Music will invite bands from its creative cities partners in Sevilla, Bolgona and Ghent, to perform at the 2012 Experience Stage closing event on Friday.

They will take to the stage from 2.30-7pm.For more information see: www.merchantcity festival.com.
