TODAY is one of the most momentous days in Scotland's history.

The campaign has seen people from all walks of life engaged in discussions about politics, poverty, economics and society in general in every setting imaginable, which has created the most memorable campaign we have seen in this country.

In a city too often marked by apathy and low turnout over decades, the high registration and expected turnout of above 85% is hope for the future and proof that while people may be turned off by politicians they care about the issues.

That has to be a warning to those in power, regardless of the result that people are far from satisfied with our current arrangements and either way people want change.

You have heard all the arguments and it is clear people care about the future of Scotland and its citizens.

The politicians have had their say over months and years in this campaign and have tried to persuade you one way or another either to vote for independence or for Scotland to stay in the UK.

Now it is time for the people to have their say. It's your country. It's your vote, go out and use it wisely.
