How is this for a solution to MPs taking second jobs, when an MP does work outwith his duties in parliament which he or she receives a salary, their salary is immediately suspended also any pension contributions, for as long as the outside job lasts, they must submit what they have been doing and how much they are paid, for tax reasons.

And when they come up for re-election they must inform the constituents about their past performance.

Even if this means getting them to clock in and out of Westminster.

There has been a lot of negative comments surrounding the new hospital recently, mainly to do with the parking issues and access.

However, I think it is one of the greatest assets for the city in my lifetime. I remember being in some frightening old wards and hospitals in years gone by and the new hospital looks a million times better.

We should be proud to have a new facility like that on our doorstep and I am sure many other cities are envious.

On the Buchanan Street steps issue, it is about time that the councillors made decisions based on the wishes of the people, and not the minority.

They are supposed to be representing the people - not going against them. Every one of them who voted for this should resign.

Regarding litter fines for school kids, parents need to teach their child some form of respect and manners. I can't stand people who litter. My pocket is full of bits of paper rather than dumping it on the ground. Definitely a pet hate.

It hasn't taken long, but I see the bad weather is beginning to have its toll on some of the potholes. The recent heavy rain has made it even worse to negotiate some of the city's potholes as you can't even see them. I know the roads bosses must have a had job of it to deal with the potholes year after year, but surely some bright spark out there can come up with an idea for a better fix. Is there not a repair fix out there that would last a bit longer than councils up and down the country having to constantly repair the holes.
