RANGERS defender Bilel Mohsni has ruled out a January move away from the Ibrox club.

The Tunisian has been linked with moves to Club Africain and Esperance in his homeland, but he insisted today he will be staying in Scotland.

Mohsni has turned out 12 times for the Gers this season and was involved again on Sunday as they booked their place in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup with a 3-0 win over Kilmarnock.

With Lee McCulloch, Darren McGregor, Marius Zaliukas and Sebastien Faure also on the books - and youngsters Luca Gasparotto and Craig Halkett out on loan - Ally McCoist has plenty of options at the heart of his Light Blues rearguard.

But Mohsni revealed the Rangers manager will not let any players leave the club as he looks to reel in leaders Hearts and clinch the Championship title this season. He said: "I'm not against the idea of playing in Tunisia, but I don't have any offers from there.

"I've had many offers from French teams and England, but it's hard to leave my team in the next window because of my coach's decision.

"He needs my services and the other players as we intend to compete for the Championship and for the cups.

"The gaffer won't allow any player to leave in the winter transfer window."

Baniyas Sports Club, who are based in Abu Dhabi, had two bids for Mohsni turned down earlier this year.

And the 27-year-old has distanced himself from reports linking him with a move to Tunisia.

"No, this is false and inaccurate," Mohsni said.

"I haven't received any offer from Club Africain or from Esperance.

"I don't think I will be leaving in the winter."
