IAN Black today admitted Rangers deserved pelters from their own fans in their embarrassing 1-1 draw with part-time Alloa at Ibrox.

And he has vowed to help the Gers bounce back from that humiliation with a win over SPFL Championship leaders Hearts on Saturday.

The midfielder and his team mates were booed off by Light Blues fans after dropping two points to the minnows last weekend.

Failing to beat the Wasps for the second time this season let the unbeaten Jambos go six points clear at the top of the second tier.

Black said he had no problem with the abuse.

But he expressed confidence that Ally McCoist's side could silence their critics in the massive clash with Hearts at Tynecastle.

He said: "We were poor against Alloa on Saturday and we deserved the stick we got for it.

"We have to get a result every week. We know that with the size of club we're at.

"But it's how we react that's important now. The training has been good and the spirit has been good.

"You expect to win every game and you wouldn't be in the job if you weren't confident.

"Yes, we had a bad day against Alloa, but it's chip-paper now. It's in the bin.

"We're back and straight away you have to concentrate on the next game. Hopefully we'll get the points because that is the most important thing.

"We're confident of getting a win at the weekend. The squad is full of confidence."

Robbie Neilson's team is undefeated in the league so far this season and is under scrutiny to see if they can keep that run going. But Black wants the Gers, bidding to complete the final stage of The Journey, just to worry about their own games

He said: "All we need to do is to concentrate on each game as it comes and hopefully pick up points."
