RANGERS star Arnold Peralta last night revealed he wants to use the World Cup as a platform to win a move from Ibrox.

The Honduran midfielder has been named in their World Cup squad and has arrived back in his homeland after helping Rangers clinch League One.

Peralta, 25, has previously indicated he wants to move to another club after his season at Ibrox.

And although he's admitted he'd be happy to see out his three-year deal, he hopes to catch the eye of other clubs in Brazil.

Peralta said: "I have a contract for three years with Rangers, but let's see what happens after the World Cup.

"I feel really good at the club, but my goal is to have a good World Cup so I can have options to change clubs.

"But if I continue to play with Rangers, I would feel good about it, too.

"To win the title in Scotland was wonderful. We were undefeated champions in my first season.

"I'm an important player to Rangers and I am proud to play for such a big club. Rangers are huge in Scotland.

"The manager made sure we didn't lose any games. I wanted to be undefeated and we managed to achieve that goal because it meant a lot to the club.

"Rangers are one of biggest clubs in Scotland and in Europe.

"We have a great support and we need to get back to the top division because that's where we belong.

"Hopefully, we can get there, but it will be difficult because we will be playing good teams who try so hard in every game. We know that if we want to get to the top division, we must put in extra effort in every game.

"In Scotland, I cannot fault the way I am treated - the people are very polite.

"They treat me with respect and leaving Honduras was the best thing that could have happened for me.

"The only problem in Scotland is that it is always cold...the sun never shines."

And Peralta revealed Rangers could swoop for one of his international team-mates.

He said: "Rangers are very interested in a Honduras player. But I can't say his name because I am not allowed.

"The manager watched our game and became interested in him. All I can say is that I have given him a very good reference - he is a good player."
