NICKY LAW has told gloating Hearts players to enjoy their success while they can - and vowed that Rangers would eclipse their success in the future

Tynecastle stars were filmed in an Edinburgh pub singing foul-mouthed chants about their Ibrox rivals after clinching the SPFL Championship this week.

Gers midfielder Law stressed he had no problem with the way the jubilant Jambos celebrated their emphatic second tier title triumph.

However, he revealed they had made the Light Blues even more desperate to clinch promotion to the top flight this season and then land some silverware themselves.

He said: "First and foremost you have to say Hearts have earned the right to celebrate, of course they have.

" I think when anybody beats Rangers it is celebrated. No-one is more hated than Rangers so when teams get one over they celebrate. It doesn't happen often.

"This year has been very difficult for this football club and you get that in a club obviously. Hopefully, it will just make us more determined.

"We need to get up this season. If we can manage to do that then I am in doubt the club will come back strongly again.

"Rangers will have their day again and many more days than most clubs in the near future."

Law helped Rangers to a 2-0 win over Hibs at Easter Road last Sunday that boosted their chances of finishing in second spot in the Championship.

And he has vowed to help Stuart McCall's side build on that against Cowdenbeath at Ibrox this afternoon and help his old Motherwell gaffer land a full-time job.

He said: "The Cowdenbeath game can't come quickly enough for the lads. We know last weekend is just a start.

"It's only three points but they were a big three points with them coming at Hibs and it would have been difficult for us to get second spot if we had lost that game last week.

"They give us a lift going into the last seven or eight games. It has been a tough year for everyone and I'd include the staff who work here in that as well.

"This has been such a tough place to work at and there has been such negativity surrounding the place.

"We know ourselves we've played a big part in that. The performances haven't been good enough and the product on the field is the main thing.

"Although the first two results (under McCall) weren't what we were looking for, we were better and there was a big improvement in the Alloa game.

"Sunday was a huge improvement again and you could see the energy and desire in the team was fantastic.

"Dropping points this weekend would be no good so it's up to us now to press on. We feel if we do that we'll win most games."

Law feels McCall, who took over from Kenny McDowall as Rangers boss earlier this month, has played a huge part in the side's revival.

And the Englishman is hoping the Nine-In-A-Row great lands the job on a permanent basis whether the Ibrox club wins promotion or not.

Law said: "He has been a big part in the lift the place has taken in the last couple of weeks just with his personality and his character. He speaks to everyone, he is always laughing and joking. He does lift spirits up.

"On the training field he has been fantastic with us. You see last week we changed and went to a 3-5-2 for the game. I don't think many people were expecting us to do that. We started the work on the Monday and carried it through to the Sunday.

"Everybody went out onto the pitch last week, everyone knew their job to a man and we carried it out to a man as well. We left no stone unturned. He has been fantastic. The organisation has been fantastic. Hopefully we can go on now and get the wins that get us up."
