Amir Khan has boosted his chances of a lucrative showdown with Floyd Mayweather by joining up with the American superstar's advisor Al Haymon, widely regarded as one of boxing's most influential men.
Former Olympic silver medalist Khan said: "I am very happy to have signed with Al Haymon, who has not only shown that he is a very astute businessman, but is extremely knowledgeable of the fight game and always has his fighters' best interests at heart."
Khan had hoped to make his welterweight debut against Mayweather next month. However, the American opted to face Argentinia's Marcos Maidana. Khan fights Luis Collazo on the Las Vegas undercard.
