BEST MOMENT OF FINALS?
"Without doubt, Sergio Ramos' penalty in the shootout against Portugal.
"For a centre-back to have the courage to do that in a semi-final was just fabulous – even better than Andrea Pirlo doing it against England."
WORST MOMENT OF THE THREE WEEKS?
"I honestly can't think of anything, it was a very good tournament.
"I thought the standard of refereeing was good.
"If I have to pick something, the worst thing was the dogmatic attitude towards not bringing in video technology.
"How Michel Platini can see what happened in the game between Ukraine and England and not....
"Why football has to be different from tennis, or rugby or American football is beyond me.
"Why do we have to be the only sport that does not embrace the modern era?
"That, to me, is the disappointment, though I don't know if it is just about this tournament."
STAR PLAYER OF EURO 2012?
"Sergio Ramos, without a doubt. Absolutely.
"He will get overlooked because Andrea Pirlo was excellent, as was Andres Iniesta and Antonio Cassano.
"He will also get overlooked because he is a defender. But, for me, the significant improvement in Spain's team was his deployment as a centreback.
"He was absolutely brilliant, not only in his defensive play, but in his use of the ball and in his organisational play.
"He broke forward on occasion and it was effective. And, of course, he scored with THAT penalty.
"You have to also remember he was playing out of position."
SURPRISE OF THE TOURNAMENT?
"That might have been Italy, playing so well, or Holland going out so early. They were both surprises.
"I have no idea why this happened to Holland. They had a number of players who just under-performed.
"Who knows why these things happen. You don't get the inside track on what went wrong."
WHAT BROUGHT THE BIGGEST SMILE?
"That was provided by the final itself. I was delighted to see Vicente del Bosque (pictured) vindicated for the way that he wanted his team to play.
"And I was delighted to see the Spanish team stick it up those doom-mongers who criticised them."
