NEW Amateur champion Alan Dunbar today revealed he would give up on a dream trip to Augusta next year if he made the grade at the Euro Tour's qualifying school in December.
The 23-year-old beat Austria's Matthias Schwab on the final green at Royal Troon on Saturday to become only the third Northern Irish winner of the unpaid game's biggest prize.
That handed the Walker Cup star tee-times to July's Open and next year's Masters and US Open.
Dunbar said: "I know Augusta is special, but then again it would be very hard not to take a European Tour card."
lMarc Warren will have his sights set on another Major appearance when he competes in the Open Championship's international final qualifying shoot-out at Sunningdale today.
The Glasgow ace forms part of a 96-man field for a 36-hole showdown that will reward the leading finishers with direct entry into next month's Open at Royal Lytham.
