DUNDEE UNITED boss Peter Houston bemoaned his side's nightmare start after the Taysiders were thrashed 5-0 by Dynamo Moscow to see them exit the Europa league 7-2 on aggregate.

After a 2-2 draw last week at Tannadice, the Russians marched into the Champions League play-off with goals from Igor Semshov, Alexsandr Kokorin, Artur Yusupov and a brace from substitute Aleksandr Sapeta.

"We had the worst possible start, losing a goal after two minutes against a very good side," said Houston.

"They were just too strong for us physically and I was disappointed about the first half when we didn't believe in ourselves. We should have done better than we did.

"Dinamo are a very good side."
