ROB ROY boss Stewart Maxwell reckons today's Stagecoach Super First Division clash with leaders Pollok at Newlandsfield is a title decider.
The Rabs go into the meeting trailing Tony McInally's side by nine points, but with one game in hand.
Maxwell said: "Pollok have a nine-point advantage over us, and if they were to come out on top, then I believe the trophy will have black and white ribbons on it come the end of the season.
"However, if we were to win the day, then everything would be back in the melting pot, albeit Pollok would still be favourites."
Long-term injuries sideline former Pollok goalkeeper Johnny Murdoch and midfielder Alan Urqhuart, while Scott Upton's red card against Kilsyth Rangers last weekend ensures he sits out the game through suspension.
Maxi added: "Kevin Watt comes back into the scheme of things, and it will be interesting to see how the Pollok defence deals with the partnership of him and Willie Sawyers, who will be desperate to put one over on his former team."
The burly striker, scorer of a hat-trick when the clubs met towards the end of last season prior to his high-profile transfer to Irvine Meadow, revealed: "I'm away less than two seasons, yet it is indicative of the many changes made by Tony McInally that no-one from my time there is still with the club.
"They shared training ground facilities with Irvine Meadow, so I've seen their players close up and know just how strong a squad Tony has pulled together, but over 90 minutes, I think we can give them a game of it.
"It,s a massive test for our young side, but everyone is looking forward to it."
