DUNDEE defender Matt Lockwood thinks taking points at home could be the difference between surviving in the SPL or suffering an immediate return to the Irn-BruFirst Division.

Lockwood impressed in the opening-day draw at Kilmarnock, and wants to go one better in the first home game against St Mirren tomorrow.

"Our games at Dens Park are going to be vital this season," he said. "When you've just come back up after a spell in the First Division, you have to try to take as many points as possible on home turf."
