MORTON have confirmed they will face Romanian giants Rapid Bucharest as well as SPL side Kilmarnock as part of their preparations for next season.
Boss Allan Moore put his squad through their paces for the first time today as the Cappielow club get ready for the big kick-off, with their Ramsdens Cup first-round tie with Irn-Bru Second Division side Albion Rovers just a month away.
The Ton will go head-to-head with the three-time Romanian Liga 1 champions on July 3 at Grangemouth before welcoming Kenny Shiels' Killie to Cappielow on July 16.
Moore has had a busy summer so far, with him releasing 10 players following a disappointing First Division campaign last time out.
He agreed deals with Albion keeper Derek Gaston, midfielder David Graham as well as out-of-contract forward Peter MacDonald last week to continue his rebuilding work.
Moore said: "David was a regular for Dunfermline Athletic last season and I'm really pleased to bring him on board. He is a good, experienced player and a hard worker.
"With David O'Brien on the left, I think this gives us a good threat on both flanks. He also gives us options in attack as he can play on the right and left sides as well as being comfortable playing up front."
Elsewhere, Albion boss Todd Lumsden has appointed James Ward as his assistant.
He said: "We have known each other for a long time so that is good from my point of view.
"I played under Allan Maitland and James at Hamilton so it's great to get him on board. I'm delighted."
