QUEEN'S PARK gaffer Gardner Speirs has given his team a pat on the back – and told them their form is worthy of a fifth win on the trot, writes Jamie Kempton.

The Spiders defeated Stranraer 3-2 last weekend, adding to victories against Huntly, Montrose and East Stirling.

However, Third Division pacesetters Annan Athletic are the visitors to Hampden tomorrow. Harry Cairney's side have lost only one game this season.

But Speirs believes his players have the potential to continue their climb up the table.

He said: "I thought it was an excellent game against Stranraer.

"We just want to continue this bit of momentum that we've built up, and pick up some more points along the way."

Elsewhere, a resurgent Clyde are away to Peterhead. The trip to Balmoor represents the Bully Wee's first game for a fortnight.
