A NEW board to govern Scottish football could be put in place as a trade-off for letting newco Rangers into the Irn-Bru First Division.
With 29 SFL clubs set to vote this Friday on Charles Green's newco, a condition of their co-operation could be to merge bodies to form a Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL), according to a report today.
Lower-league clubs will have three votes – allowing crisis-hit Rangers to join the SFL, to permit what league they will play in, and to approve the resignation of either Dundee or Dunfermline for a place in the SPL.
