AL KELLOCK returned to Glasgow Warriors action last night as their 'A' team defeated Edinburgh 30-5 in Stirling.

The Scotstoun skipper missed large parts of last season through injury and has yet to feature for the GUINNESS PRO12 outfit so far this term after undergoing shoulder surgery in April.

The Scotland international made an impressive comeback in black and blue as Kenny Murray's troops hammered their old rivals at Bridgehaugh Park. Kellock, who was substituted in the second half, said: "These games give us all a chance to improve. The club boys who stepped in were outstanding."

Warriors were simply far superior to their opponents, running in four tries.

Murray McConnell, Tommy Spinks, new Canadian signing Connor Braid and Sean Maitland, who was also returning to the side from injury along with Kellock, went over Warriors.

Austin Lockington grabbed a late consolation for Edinburgh with the conversion being missed.
