QUEEN'S PARK boss Gardner Speirs will give four Hampden youngsters the chance to make their mark in the Irn-Bru Third Division next season.

Speirs has placed his faith in Queen's young proteges in recent years as the club continue to rear their own stars of the future, with another handful of players now set to be involved in their title challenge next season.

Alan Urquhart has signed a new contract with the Spiders while Keiran Kennedy, Scott Gibson and Lawrence Shankland have been added to Speirs' pool.

The Queen's gaffer, who now has 17 players tied up for next season, is still in discussions with other members of his first-team squad and is working on bringing fresh faces to Hampden ahead of the new campaign.

Six players – Michael Daly, David Murray, Martin McBride, Steven Baillie, Gavin Lachlan and Daryll Meggatt – have left the club.
