VICTOR WANYAMA has dismissed speculation linking him with a move to the Barclays Premier League.

Sources close to the player have maintained he is happy with his career at Celtic, despite interest in England.

"He will be staying at Celtic as he would not like to rush in his career," said one of his representatives. "He wants to build a solid place for himself at Celtic and is feeling comfortable.

"He is not worried about making more money as he clearly knows that will come at the appropriate time.

"He loves Celtic and this is the team he will be playing for next season."

Meanwhile, Celtic have lost out on alleged summer transfer target Gaetan Charbonnier after the striker signed for French champions Montpellier.

The Hoops had looked closely at the 23-year-old, who was the French Second Division's top scorer with Angers.

But he has decided to join Montpellier on a four-year deal as a direct replacement for France internationalist Olivier Giroud, who has just signed for Arsenal.

Charbonnier said: "I'm delighted to sign for Montpellier. I had a few options, but the chance to play Cham-pions League football here is too good to turn down. I know I will have to work hard to get a place in the team."

Elsewhere, Efrain Juarez has completed a move to Club America in his native Mexico.
