CROATIA striker Ivan Klasnic today revealed Rangers have made moves to land him on a Bosman in the summer.

Klasnic, who lines up against Scotland tonight at Hampden, says former Gers star Dado Prso is selling the club and life in Scotland to him.

Klasnic is into the final few months of his contract at Werder Bremen, and so far the German giants have not offered him a new deal.

The 28-year-old has recovered from a serious illness when he had to undergo a kidney transplant 11 months ago, and will cap his return by playing for Slaven Bilic's side this evening in a friendly against the Scots.

Klasnic claims he has had contact from both Old Firm clubs, but says that Rangers have been the keenest in their interest. He revealed at the Croat hotel base in Glasgow: "I have had contact from a few big teams. Both of the Glasgow clubs, and Rangers have been very keen.

"Of course I know all about the club after Rangers played Bremen a few weeks ago in the Uefa Cup, although I didn't play in those games because I was injured.

"Dado has spoken to me many times about Rangers and I know what a fantastic club it is - he has been here with us this week at the hotel and you can see how much he loves Scotland.

"It's a great club with an excellent stadium and amazing fans.

"I will see what happens with my future, as there has also been contact with me from German clubs.

"Bremen have said they will talk to me about my future and a new contract, but there has been nothing so far."

Rangers will be in the market for two strikers in the summer, and Klasnic would be good business on a Bosman if they do proceed with initial interest.

The Ibrox hierarchy stated at the weekend that they want to bring in quality rather than quantity this summer, and they will also make moves to try and land Steven Davis on a permanent deal.

The Northern Ireland skipper has impressed on loan from Fulham, but is attracting interest from Middlesbrough.

Fulham will still demand a fee in excess of £3m if they are relegated, but Rangers would be willing to pay that if Davis can be convinced his future lies north of the border.

Brahim Hemdani is the latest Rangers player to withdraw from international duty. The midfielder has called off from the Algeria squad with a groin strain.
