MORE than 100 new jobs have been created at a Glasgow shopping mall.
The jobs at Silverburn's restaurant area bring the capacity to 1200.
The new PizzaExpress restaurant, which can seat 156, means jobs for 25 new team members, including seven pizzaiolos and 15 waiters and waitresses.
An estimated 490 kilos of dough will be used in the first month as the team prepares to serve up 5,500 pizzas and nearly 1,000 portions of PizzaExpress' iconic Dough Balls.
Zizzi, which opened yesterday, will bring 30 new jobs to Silverburn.
The restaurant will feature Zizzi's new revolving stone deck pizza ovens, and an interior inspired the Burrell Collection in nearby Pollok Country Park.
Five Guys, the leading American Burger & Fries brand, will open its second Glasgow restaurant in Silverburn next month.
The new 3,637 sq ft restaurant brings an additional 50 jobs to the city.
David Pierotti, General Manager at Silverburn said, "The opening of these three fantastic new restaurants is a significant milestone for Silverburn, as it will see the centre's Winter Garden area near completion.
"The new openings highlight the desire among leading restaurant brands to open in Silverburn, and will significantly add to our already strong retail success."
