POLICE today launched a murder hunt after the body of a man was pulled from the River Clyde.
Crew members on the dredger, the St Mungo, made the grim discovery while clearing oil drums in the Old Kilpatrick area.
Following a post mortem, detectives today confirmed they were treating the death as "suspicious".
A police spokesman said: "We are now trying to establish the man's identity."
It is thought the body may have been in the water for some time.
Meanwhile, a man has died almost a week after suffering serious head injuries.
Walter Glancy, 62, was found early last Friday in Weir Street, Greenock. He died from his injuries yesterday in Glasgow's Southern General Hospital.
A 31-year-old woman appeared in court yesterday in connection with the incident.
