LORD of the Rings star Billy Boyd is the 1000th person to join a Glasgow private member's club.
Boyd, 38, joined The Hallion on Bath Street a year after its opening.
The actor is currently travelling between Glasgow and Belgium for his latest film, Glenn - a futuristic drama in which he appears as an ambitious concert pianist.
But the talented Glaswegian is in touch with his musical side in real life with his band Beecake.
The former RSAMD student said: "We're playing in Glasgow this month so maybe The Hallion could organise a night out for club members."
Boyd, who is enjoying the arrival of his new son Jack to the family, is "delighted" to be able to relax at the club.
