GLASGOW has a new twin after signing a historic agreement with the Palestinian city of Bethlehem.
The partnership was launched at Glasgow City Chambers with a meeting between Depute Lord Provost Christine Devine and the major of Bethlehem, Dr Viktor Baterseh and his wife.
Glasgow is twinned with seven other cities including Havana in Cuba, Marseilles in France, Lahore in Pakistan and Rostov-on-Don in Russia.
Councillor Devine said: "Glasgow and Bethlehem have friendship links going back many years. This agreement will deepen and strengthen those links."
Glasgow and Bethlehem first signed a friendship agreement in 1990.
