COUNTRY legend Dolly Parton has chosen Glasgow for the Scottish premiere of her global smash hit musical 9 to 5.
The stage version of the movie favourite will visit the city's King's Theatre, as part of its first national tour, in November.
And tickets for the show will go on sale at 4.51pm – nine to five – today.
Nicknamed the Queen of Country music, Dolly, said: "I am so excited that 9 to 5 the Musical is coming to Glasgow's King's Theatre."
The musical will run for a week at the city venue, with its premiere taking place on November 12.
Dolly, who starred in the 1980 film, alongside Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, has written the music and lyrics for the stage adaptation.
On Broadway, the show has earned four Tony Award nominations, including best original score, since it opened in September 2009.
The story centres around three working women who take revenge on their tyrannical boss.
It is understood Dolly was involved in the auditions, and selecting the actors, for the UK run.
The musical features 18 original Dolly Parton songs.
Ambassador Theatre Group joint chief executive, Howard Panter, said "A hugely entertaining film has been turned in to a musical rollercoaster of delight."
Tickets, which go on sale today, are priced £15-£35 and are available from www.atgtick ets.com/glasgow or by calling the box office on 0844 871 7648.
