DOG lovers are snapping up a new canine treat – strawberry and apple flavoured ice cream.
Tubs costing £2.99 have gone on sale for the first time in Scotland at garden centres near Glasgow.
Thy are on sale at Dobbies Garden World, Braehead, as well as in Milngavie, Dunbartonshire; Cumbernauld; Ayr; and Sandyholme, near Lanark. Dobbies has the exclusive selling rights to the Billy & Margot range for the next six month.
There are two tubs – one is strawberry and apple, while the other is apple, banana and carrot. They are prepared from balanced ingredients that include sugars from selected fruits and vegetable puree to add flavour and the range is milk free to protect dogs from harm.
Charles Randall, general manager at the Braehead site, said: "The iced treat has received a great response."
