BRITAIN'S most famous tennis mum cast an experienced eye over a major upgrade of facilities in Glasgow.
Tennis coach Judy Murray was at Drumchapel Park Tennis Club to mark the start of redevelopment work that will see tennis courts upgraded and floodlights installed.
The mother of British No.1 Andy Murray, right, has been a regular at the club for the past few weeks where she has been inspiring young tennis players.
The investment is part of a £1million community tennis pilot project in Glasgow – one of eight around Great Britain being supported by the Lawn Tennis Association and the Tennis Foundation.
The club has been a landmark in the area for 100 years.
Funding for the upgrade was raised through Sport Scotland's Robertson Trust and an Awards for All Lottery grant by Glasgow Life.
David Campbell, head coach of Drumchapel Park Tennis Club: "It's great to see so many kids with a racket and ball in their hands.
"We hope the upgrade will encourage more people to take up the sport.
"The dream is to one day progress a player to an elite level and give the people of Drumchapel the opportunity to do so."
