THE winner of one of the most hotly contested competitions can finally be revealed - the Evening Times Tot for 2012.

After five weeks and after more than 32,000 votes were cast, 17-month-old Aaron Kawani, from Queen's Park, Glasgow, is the winner in the competition, which is sponsored by the St Enoch Centre.

The toddler and his family win £1000 and can also look forward to a family trip for four to London by rail and an overnight stay for two nights in a top hotel, along with theatre tickets to see The Lion King.

They will also receive the winner's trophy, a certificate and a framed winning photograph.

In second place is Kaiden James McAulay, from Carntyne.

Kaiden, aged eight months, has won a £200 St Enoch gift card, a framed print and a photo session with an Evening Times' photographer.

In third place and the winner of a £100 St Enoch gift card, a print and certificate is 10-month-old Kaydis Finnigan, from Pollok.

To find the winning threesome our photographers spent a week at the St Enoch Centre taking pictures of 600 children.

Mothers, fathers and grandparents patiently queued with their infants for their chance to enter this year's Times Tot contest.

Evening Times' editor Tony Carlin said: "Well done to our winners. The response to Times Tots was incredible. Thank you to everyone who took part."

Susan Nicol, general manager of the St Enoch Centre, said: "Everyone at the centre would like to congratulate Aaron for being voted this year's top Times' Tot.

"We thoroughly enjoyed being the headline sponsor of the competition and would like to thank all the families who came along to the centre to take part.

"We hope Aaron, Kaiden and Kaydis enjoy their prizes."
