CLYDE 1 DJ Romeo was given some expert coaching by former Scottish skating champion Simone Golumb.
The pair were among the first on Glasgow's open air rink, which opened at the weekend.
It marks the start of six weeks of festive fun in Glasgow, which will see free nightly entertainment and family fun weekends in George Square through to January 6.
The 7923 sq ft ice rink is among the largest in Europe.
Last year about 50,000 people got their skates on and the council expects at least that same number this year. The rink will be open four extra days this year, and fans can book tickets right up to January 6.
Glasgow on Ice is open Monday to Friday 12 noon until 10pm and from 10am to 10pm at weekends.
Prices range from £4 to £10. Visit www.glasgowloveschristmas.com
