PET lovers gathered at a special service to give thanks for their four-legged friends.
Glasgow University's School of Veterinary Medicine held its annual service to celebrate animal companions last night.
The service was held at the University Chapel on the Gilmorehill campus.
University Chaplain Reverend Stuart MacQuarrie led the 45-minute service, which included songs and readings by clients and staff of the vet school's Small Animal Hospital.
Helen Anthony, from Bearsden, attended the service to pay tribute to the staff who saved the life of her female cat Zenobia, after she was hit by a car.
The 69-year-old retired nurse said she was stunned by the lengths the vets were willing to go to in order to save Zenobia's life.
"They were amazing," she said.
