GLASGOW will prepare to see in the New Year in style with a special Hogmanay celebration in George Square.
Hogmanayday will be a free, day-long event for all ages and comes as part of Scotland's Winter Festivals.
On December 31 from noon until 10pm, revellers can get into the party spirit with ceilidh and dancing with music by Skippinish, Drums and Roses and Williamwood Pipe Band.
Traditional Scottish fare will be on offer with activities such as storytelling, face painting and arts and crafts. No ticket is needed but a queue will operate if the venue nears capacity.
And for those making their way home from the events, the city's Subway system will remain open until 10.30pm.
Meanwhile, deaf movie fans can take part in the city's festive film screenings in the square.
Until December 30, classics are being shown on a big screen and tonight and next Wednesday the showings will be signed by two British Sign Language interpreters
Films run on Wednesdays and Sundays. All are free.
