SANTA DANCES ... GANGNAM STYLE
SANTA Claus wowed youngsters as he danced to 'Gangnam Style' on a visit to a South Lanarkshire school.
Santa's visit to Stonehouse Primary was organised by Education Scotland.
He used the school as his base for chatting to around 7000 Scottish pupils who were tuned into a live interview with him on Glow TV, – Scotland's schools intranet service.
Pupils from hundreds of schools from as far afield as Tobermory on Mull, Uig on Skye and Bressay in Shetland, were able to ask questions.
Topics included the number of elves working in his workshops and whether Santa had an advent calendar.
Jennifer McDougall from Glow TV said: "We must be some budding young news reporters out there."
ENDING VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
NHS Lanarkshire held a series of events as part of 16 days of action to end violence against women.
The Ending Violence and Abuse service (EVA Services) worked with partners to organise a host of events, and this year a series of awareness events took place in locations such as Wishaw General and Hairmyres hospitals and health centres and North and South Lanarkshire Council premises.
