A MAN who cultivated dozens of cannabis plants was hit with a £11,000 confiscation order.
Brian Harris, 61, from Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire, pleaded guilt to growing cannabis in March 2011, following a police search of a unit on Lochlibo industrial estate in August 2010 which uncovered more than 60 plants.
He was sentenced to 140 hours' community service.
At Paisley Sheriff Court, yesterday, he was ordered to pay £11,041 – the proceeds of his criminal lifestyle.
The money will be added to the £60million already gathered from Proceeds of Crime and will be re-invested into the community through the CashBack for Communities programme.
