ARMED robbers escaped with more than £70,000 worth of designer watches during a raid at a Glasgow jewellery store.
Detectives were today continuing their investigation into Monday's robbery at the Beaverbrooks shop at Glasgow Fort, in Easterhouse.
As reported in yesterday's Evening Times, two men threatened staff with what appeared to be a firearm, before making off with the TAG watches.
It is believed the suspects drove off in a silver Volkswagen Golf.
A car, which matched that description, was later found burnt out in Connisborough Road.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the robbery, which occurred at around 11.10am.
Detective Inspector Laura Thomson, of Shettleston CID, said: ""I would urge anyone who saw anyone behaving in a suspicious manner at The Fort to come forward."
