HEAVY snow and fog in London hit passenger numbers at Glasgow Airport.
Scotland's biggest airport lost 8000 domestic passengers last month when all the major airlines were forced to cancel flights after the atrocious weather paralysed services at every London hub.
Amanda McMillan, managing director of Glasgow Airport, said: "Given the positive start we made to the year, it was frustrating to see passenger numbers take a slight dip as a result of poor weather conditions elsewhere.
"However, in terms of route development we continued to make significant progress, with the announcement Wizz Air will operate flights to Warsaw and Gdansk from March.
"The addition of two major European cities to our list of destinations is particularly pleasing as was the decision by Flybe to introduce a year round service to Shannon in the west coast of Ireland."
The latest figures show that passenger numbers dropped last month in Glasgow by 1.2%, although nearly 412,000 people still passed through the airport.
