AMERICAN director Joss Whedon attended the premiere of his film Much Ado About Nothing as the curtain came down on this year's Glasgow Film Festival.
The creator of cult TV drama Buffy The Vampire Slayer, who also wrote the 2012 blockbuster film Avengers Assemble, attended the festival's closing gala last night.
Tickets for the screening, at Glasgow Film Theatre, sold out in less than an hour.
The festival kicked off on February 14, with the UK premiere of French romantic comedy Populaire.
In total, there were 368 screenings, panel discussions, live performances and special events at 26 venues, making it the most extensive Glasgow Film Festival programme to date.
The festival also hosted the first public UK screening of Cloud Atlas, starring Halle Berry and Tom Hanks, part of which was filmed in Glasgow.
