HUNDREDS of screaming fans were snubbed as boy band One Direction arrived in Glasgow.
The teenagers had lined up at the SECC to see Niall, Liam, Louis, Zayn and Harry. But they got only a glimpse of stars as they gave a quick wave before they went in for a sound check.
Ellen Cree, 17, from Dumbarton, said: "I feel disappointed they did not come out for longer because loads of fans have been waiting out to see them for hours."
Megan McGlone, 19, from Coatbridge, followed the band to the SECC all the way from Glasgow Airport, where they had touched down in their private jet.
She said: "We saw them get off the plane and then into their bus. We followed them bumper to bumper after that."
Ashley Davidson, 16, from Troon, dressed up especially for the occasion. She said: "I dressed as a carrot because Louis likes carrots. I thought dressing up would be fun and I would stand out."
Some fans, or Directioners as they are known, travelled from further afield to try and catch a glimpse of the group, who are currently top of the singles charts with their cover of Blondie's One Way Or Another.
Lana Mouisette and mum Samia, came from Aix-en-Provence, France, to go to the concert.
Lana, 13, said: "I love them and wanted to make sure I could see them."
Her mum, 42, added: "She is such a big fan. We came here on Saturday and are leaving on Thursday, but we only managed to find a ticket yesterday for the show."
