FORMER Rangers owner Craig Whyte is to launch a second appeal against a High Court judgment which ordered him to pay a ticketing firm £17 million.
Mr Whyte, who lost an appeal against Ticketus last month, lodged a new appeal with the courts yesterday.
The London-based firm said Mr Whyte fraudulently or negligently made representations which induced the company to enter into agreements related to the sale or purchase of Rangers season tickets, and claimed damages.
Mr Whyte disputes the claim.
But in April the High Court in London ruled against Mr Whyte prior to a trial after Ticketus argued that the former Rangers boss had "no real prospect" of mounting a successful defence.
It ordered Mr Whyte to pay £17.6m.
A spokesman for the Royal Courts of Justice's Judicial Office said that "permission to appeal has now been lodged".
The case will be dealt with "in due course".
