It's one of world football's best known rivalries, and now Evening Times can display in datamap form the countries that provided the Old Firm's legions of foreign players since 1899.
Working with colleagues from Glasgow's Mitchell Library, we've compiled a unique breakdown of Celtic and Rangers players from abroad over that period. Players capped by a non-UK international UK team are mapped to their place of birth.
Kevan Smith and Catherine Queen used resources from the Mitchell special collections department, which include complete editions of the Celtic View and Rangers News, along with the extensive range of club histories and biographies.
Using the map tools below, you can take a global view, or zoom in on a specific region.
For individual players, click on the dots on the map. Not surprisingly, the two clubs are represented by the colours green and blue.
