A THUG who murdered a man who had been friendly to him has been jailed for life.
Marek Kepczynski, 45, took Mark Giudici's life at a flat in Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire.
He repeatedly punched, kicked and stamped Mr Giudici on the head and body, before he strangled him with his hands.
The Polish immigrant attacked the 42-year-old after spending the day at a party with him and a group of his friends on June 9 last year.
Yesterday, judge John Beckett, QC, told Kepcyznski that he was being jailed for life and that he would have to serve at least 14 years before he would be eligible for parole.
