AT least one person has been taken to hospital after a van hit a house during the morning rush-hour.
The collision, which also involved a car, happened on Woodlands Avenue in Irvine, North Ayrshire, at about 8am.
Fire, police and ambulance crews were called to the scene after receiving a report that a vehicle had crashed into a semi-detached property.
A car was also found to have crashed into a metal barrier along the roadside.
Two people, the male van driver and the female driver of the car, were trapped. They were rescued from their vehicles by fire crews and checked over by ambulance staff.
The woman driving the car was said to have been taken by ambulance to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock.
