An elderly woman who had been missing overnight, prompting fears for her wellbeing, has been traced.
Catherine Lynn, 81, known as Cathleen, was last seen yesterday afternoon when she was out walking in Whitecrook Street, Clydebank.
The pensioner, who has dementia, was reported missing by her daughter and her family was said to have been extremely worried.
Police have now confirmed she was traced in the Whitecrook area of the town this afternoon.
Police Scotland said in a statement: "She has been taken to the Western Infirmary Hospital in Glasgow as a precaution."
Members of the public have been thanked for their help.
