A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder following an alleged shooting last month.

Another man was taken to hospital with a suspected gunshot wound after an incident in Westmuir Street, in the east end of Glasgow, on Thursday January 23.

Thomas Todd, 35, was charged with attempted murder when he appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court in connection with the incident.

Todd, of Shotts, North Lanarkshire, made no plea or declaration and the case was continued for further examination. He was remanded in custody.

The court appearance took place on Monday, but details of the private hearing were confirmed by the Crown Office yesterday.
