A POLICE probe was today under way after a woman reported she was raped in Glasgow city centre.
Detectives launched an investigation after a young woman made the allegation last night.
The 27-year-old said she was raped in West George Lane, near Hope Street, shortly after 11pm yesterday.
Senior officers stressed there was no risk to the wider public.
A police cordon was in place at the lane while investigations were carried out.
